Here’s a really simple and tasty banana bread recipe using cricket flour from The Farmed Insect Company, available via Edible Unique.

Banana Cricket Bread Ingredients

Pre-heat oven to 160oC / Gas Mark 3.

Blend all ingredients thoroughly.

Pour into a lined loaf tin.

Bake for 1 hour.

Cool and enjoy!

If you are a nut lover, once ingredients are blended, add 60g chopped walnuts and mix into the mixture. Top off with whole nuts to finish!

2 bananas (overripe is best)

170g caster sugar

85g cricket flour

85g self-raising flour

170g soft margarine

3 eggs

Few drops of vanilla essence

Bag o’ walnuts
