The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations published this comprehensive report in 2013 to promote the benefits of edible bug farming and bring our understanding of its cultural history, potential for long-term global sustainability, and current legislation up to speed.
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has put together an interactive map that lets stakeholders present their current and past work on insects as feed and food. It also enables users to identify synergies on cross cutting topics such as: nutrition, livestock management, legislation, labelling and investment while facilitating networking at regional/national levels.
Woven Network CIC is the UK Network for Insects as Food & Feed. Its forum is only available to paid members, but it acts as a hub for connecting entomophagy stakeholders within the UK, Europe and beyond, acting as a platform for discussion. Membership details can be found here.
A superb resource on everything bug farming has been put together by our friends at Tiny Farms over at the Open Bug Farm Forum (an “entoview” with one of their co-founders can be found here). If it’s sage insect farming wisdom from the entomophagy community that you seek, look no further.
